Happy First Day of October!! Last week Grayson and I ventured to Cook’s Apple Orchard for a Fall afternoon filled with {All Things Apples}.
This was such a fun activity close to home and great for all ages! {Not sure how I’ve missed this location in the past, they said they’ve been around since the ’80’s.🤦🏼♀️}

Even after visiting well into the season we found many great apples to choose from! Grayson sat and ate them off the ground as I picked them. {I don’t blame him, they were delicious.}
He ended up trying out the basket picker too.
The water fountain and running wild in the orchard were so much fun! {Although, Grayson Quinn was serious the entire time–I don’t think he quite understood what we were doing there😂}

Losing a shoe and stepping in rotten apples might have happened as well.
You can fill a bag for $16 or weigh in at $1 per pound. We didn’t have enough hands to fill a bag so we just picked a few. Inside their store they have a little bit of everything.
We left with these goodies and the best part was a cider slushie🙌🏼

We even had a quick fall dinner using the goodies we found: Apple Butter • Ground Mustard • Apple Slices • Onion slices cooked and tossed over bone-in pork chops👌🏼
Such a fun date with the little mister🍏🍎

So fun! I haven’t heard of Cook’s either. Sophia and I picked went picking with a friend and her husband (lunch was involved 😂) at Advanced Tree Technologies in New Haven. Very full trees with many varieties to choose from. Our plans are to can apple sauce on Saturday. Love Grayson’s photos! You’re looking as beautiful as ever! Love, Kandice
Thank you! Sounds so fun too, haven’t heard of the New Haven one but should check it out. Have fun canning😊
