Happy Thursday! Life Lately has been crazy!!
We planned to join Grant in Arizona and Texas most of the month of June.
The evening before our flight to Arizona Grayson was sick, change of plans, and we stayed home while Grant went for the first week.
Sunday this week we flew DTW✈️LGA✈️DFW and started the trip off with an unexpected adventure in NYC!
When we landed in LGA, Grayson asked about the Statue of Liberty, hoping he could see it from the terminal windows. Nope! With a 2.5 hour layover we didn’t want to waste time sitting in the airport so we headed for the Statue of Liberty.
It wouldn’t be the full NYC experience without the yellow taxi cab🚕
One stop, Battery Park for a distant look at Lady Liberty 🗽
I think they enjoyed the pigeon chasing more than anything…
We rushed back with our taxi chauffeur and made it with time to spare, ha! Only to find delay after delay.
We landed in DTW around 9 pm, hot & tired after a full day traveling. (Original ETA was 2:30 pm)
Hotel breakfast with Grant
Check-in at the hotel we would be spending the 2 weeks at, lots of swimming, and a surprise dinner with Grant. (We thought he was going to be working.)
Dinner at The Hudson House
After dinner grocery run
Swimming summed up the day!
Breakfast, school, more swimming and then lunch that looked a little like this
We were all a bit tired yesterday—came in to find this!
Dinner at Mesa Mezcal with these two
This wraps up the first few days!
